Small Package Desiccant Sealing Technology

The moisture-proof effect of small packaged silica desiccants depends not only on the quality and moisture absorption performance of the desiccant itself, but also on the precise sealing process. The strength and sealing of the seam directly determine whether the desiccant will leak powder, break, or peel off. It is a core detail that distinguishes high-quality desiccants from inferior products, and it is also a key aspect of our quality strength as a manufacturer. Many inferior desiccants suffer from powder leakage and product contamination, as well as damage and ineffectiveness, primarily due to rudimentary and substandard sealing processes that fail to meet basic requirements for strength and sealing.

As a professional manufacturer, we have been deeply involved in sealing technology for many years, abandoning rudimentary manual sealing and adopting standardized and automated production processes, coupled with high-precision production equipment, to create a seaming effect that balances strength and breathability. This fundamentally eliminates various potential problems and ensures that every small package of desiccant can reliably perform its moisture-proof function.

Currently, we mainly use two sealing processes, each suitable for small packages of different materials and weights, precisely meeting diverse needs while balancing quality and efficiency. The first type is ultrasonic heat sealing, primarily used for small packaging made of non-woven fabric and PE breathable film. We use imported ultrasonic heat sealing equipment, which uses high-frequency ultrasonic vibration to quickly melt and tightly bond the material at the packaging edges. The edge width is strictly controlled within 3-5mm. This width ensures a tight, gapless bond, effectively preventing desiccant particle leakage, while precisely preserving the packaging's breathability without affecting moisture penetration and absorption.

Simultaneously, the ultrasonic heat-sealed edges are smooth and flat, without burrs or wrinkles, making them resistant to wear and breakage. Even during long-distance transportation and repeated handling, they can withstand certain external forces without easily peeling or breaking. Suitable for small packaging weighing from 1-50g, it boasts high production efficiency, stable quality, and excellent sealing performance. It is one of the most widely used and reliable edge sealing processes in the industry and is our factory's primary edge sealing technology.

The second type is double-thread sewing edge sealing, mainly used for small packaging made of composite paper, especially in food and pharmaceutical applications where packaging safety and odorlessness are paramount. We use food-grade sewing thread, which is uniform in diameter, strong, and not easily broken. We employ a double-thread, high-density sewing method, controlling the stitches to 8-10 stitches per centimeter. The fine, evenly spaced stitches ensure a tight seal, effectively preventing desiccant particle leakage and avoiding any slight odor that might arise from the heat-sealing process. This better meets the safety requirements for food and pharmaceuticals, eliminating any potential contamination risks. Simultaneously, the double-thread sewing provides better breathability, better adapting to the ventilation needs inside food and pharmaceutical packaging, preventing moisture from being trapped due to excessive sealing.

Furthermore, all our sewing processes undergo rigorous quality testing. Each batch of products is sampled for tensile testing, leakage testing, and abrasion resistance testing to ensure the sewing strength meets standards. We guarantee that there will be no damage, powder leakage, or edge peeling during transportation, storage, and use. These details demonstrate the manufacturer's quality strength, giving customers peace of mind.
